Climate change is a reality, disrupting our planet with long-term shifts in temperatures and weather patterns.

Such shifts can be natural, due to changes in the sun’s activity or large volcanic eruptions. However, since the 1800s, human activities have been the main driver of climate change, primarily due to the burning of fossil fuels like coal, oil and gas.

Burning fossil fuels generates greenhouse gas emissions that act like a blanket wrapped around the Earth, trapping the sun’s heat and raising temperatures. The main greenhouse gases that are causing climate change include carbon dioxide and methane.

Agriculture, oil and gas operations are major sources of methane emissions. Energy, industry, transport, buildings, agriculture and land use are among the main sectors causing greenhouse gases.

Unable to quantify the impact of the climate in the medium and long term on their activities, our customers are helpless.

Whether they are public or private companies, or representatives of a community, they have neither the tools, nor the capacity, to determine by themselves the risks linked to climate change that may affect them.

Our cities, regions and infrastructures must now evolve to meet the challenges posed by climate change and develop climate resilience and adaptation solutions.

Sixense has launched  a new company – Resallience – the first design office exclusively dedicated to the climate resilience of our society.

We support managers, public authorities, construction companies and investors to prepare management plans and define solutions and adaptation strategies to prepare for our changing world.
